Fabio Anderson Luersen Triumphs at the 2024 Pan American Senior Snooker Championship

Fabio Anderson Luersen from Brazil clinched victory at the 2024 Pan American Senior Snooker Championship last night played at  in Saint-Lambert, Canada. In a stunning final, Fabio defeated Canadian player Alberto Camara with a decisive 4-0 score.

Pan American Billiards and Snooker Association (PABSA) staged the annual championship at La Bande O’ Coin, Saint-Lambert in Canada from October 5 to 8, 2024. The winner of this championship qualifies to secure a place in the following year’s World Seniors Championship which is held at the iconic Crucible Theatre in Sheffield.

Kicking off his journey on October 5th in Group G, Fabio dominated the competition, winning all his matches and conceding only a single frame to secure his place in the knockout rounds.

Throughout the knockout stage, he remained unbeatable, showcasing his skill with lopsided victories. In the Last-16, he faced Rolland Tremblay of Canada, winning 3-0, and continued his streak against another Canadian, Rodney Cuilleri, in the Quarter Finals, again winning 3-0. He advanced to the Medal Rounds, where he bested Ajeya Prabhakar with a clean 3-0 scoreline to reach the finals.

In the championship match, Fabio’s prowess shone as he swept Alberto Camara 4-0, earning him the coveted Pan American Seniors Snooker trophy for 2024.

A total of 57 players participated in this championship, and starting today, the 2024 Pan American Open Snooker Championship will commence, featuring 61 contenders vying for the title.
