In a thrilling climax at the Connexin Live in Hull, Brazilian snooker sensation Igor Figueiredo claimed his first Mr Vegas World Seniors Snooker 900 title with a dramatic victory over Jimmy White on the final black.
The highly anticipated final featured the two most recent World Seniors Championships winners in a best-of-three frames showdown. White took an early lead by crafting the highest break of the day, a 69, to win the first frame. Figueiredo responded with a resilient 66 in the second frame to level the score.
In the decisive final frame, White appeared poised for victory, crafting a solid break of 40. However, a crucial mistake allowed Figueiredo to capitalize, clearing the table and clinching the title with a dramatic black ball finish. The Brazilian’s euphoric celebration reflected his elation.
